Create your own Treasure Map (same idea as the Harry Potter example we did together), based on a theme of your choice.
You must include:
- A title
- A minimum of 10 stops
- A minimum of 3 reflections
- 1 rotation
- Drawings (simple or complex/pencil, fine-lined, or coloured) at each stop
- Clear, numbered instructions in your Math/Science booklet on a new page. Do not include coordinate pairs or name of location with these instructions
- Include the type of transformation and the direction and distance travelled for each move (ex: reflect up over x-axis. Translate 10 to the right and 7 down. Rotate 90 degrees clockwise around point (-7, +3)
- Label each stop on your map with a number (1, 2, 3....) in order of travel.
- Do not include coordinate pairs with your stops
- Number coordinate grid
Level 4 - All points are accurate and numbered. Translations, reflections, and rotations are correct and include type of transformation, direction, and amount. Steps to reach each point are complete, detailed, numbered and separated (one step per line). You have a minimum of 10 stops, 3 reflections, and 1 rotation and have included a title.
Level 4 - All points are clearly defined, a ruler was used for any lines and grid is accurately numbered and labelled.
